# Read a Program's structure

A Program shows a reusable training template: its length, weekly commitment,
workouts, and preparation guidance. Open one from **Library** > **Programs**
to see how it fits your week before creating a dated training plan.

## What each part tells you

### Start with the summary

The overview describes the Program's aim. The summary shows **weeks**,
**days/week**, and **workouts**, along with the intended experience level
and included activities.

To compare Programs, open each one in turn and check the same facts: total
length, weekly commitment, activities, and preparation guidance. Then look
at the weeks to see how the workouts change.

### Read Week by Week

**Week by Week** offers two views of the same schedule:

- **Calendar** arranges the planned workouts by week and weekday. Tap a
week label to read that week's focus.
- **List** lets you expand a week to read its focus and workouts by day.

Open a day with a workout to see its details. If the day contains several
workouts, choose one from the **Workouts** list. At accessibility text sizes,
Calendar uses a list layout so the content has more room.

### Look inside a workout

Program workout details keep a **Program** label so you can distinguish them
from standalone workouts.

| Section | What you can read |
| --- | --- |
| **Structure** | Exercise names and set counts for strength; the goal or step layout for endurance. |
| **Schedule** > **When** | Where the workout occurs in the Program. |
| **Goals by Week** | The prescribed endurance goal summary for each occurrence of that workout series, rather than its scheduling-time estimate. |

Goals can show time, distance, energy, an open goal, or a structured summary
such as **Intervals**. A workout without an endurance structure shows its
listed duration instead.

### Check Before You Start

**Before You Start** includes **Prerequisites** and **Recovery** guidance.
Read these and the Program's safety notice before deciding to use it.
They describe the template; they do not assess your personal readiness.

## Open a loaded Program

Use Momentum on iPhone or iPad and choose a Program available in
**Library** > **Programs**. You do not need to create a training plan to
read its structure.

## Keep the template separate from your training

The numbered weeks describe the Program, not dates in your personal
calendar. Workout counts and durations are planned values, not completed
results. **Goals by Week** summarizes prescribed goals, not every strength
target or recorded performance.

Reading a Program does not add it to your schedule. **Review Plan** opens
the review step before you create your own dated training plan. That plan
stays separate from the reusable Program.
