Change scheduled workouts

When a training day changes, open its scheduled workout in Plan and use Manage workout. You can edit supported workouts, keep a skipped entry, or delete one date. Check the save scope before changing repeated workouts.

Choose planned work you can change

Use a supported scheduled workout in an active training plan, with no recorded or in-progress attempt. A recorded attempt protects that workout from these changes, including when the attempt ended early.

Edit Workout appears only for workouts the editor supports. If you need to change the training plan's state instead, use the plan management guide.

Choose what changes

Open the workout

  1. Open Plan.
  2. Select the workout's date.
  3. Open the scheduled workout.
  4. Open Manage workout.

Choose the action you need.

Edit its planned workout

  1. Select Edit Workout.
  2. Make your changes in the workout builder.
  3. Return to the builder's main screen.
  4. Use the toolbar save control, labeled Save Changes for accessibility.
  5. If the save menu appears, choose the scope:
    • This Workout Only changes this dated workout.
    • This and Future Workouts changes this workout and its later matching workouts already scheduled in the same training plan, excluding protected attempts.

The scope choice saves immediately. If no scope menu appears, the save control applies the changes to this workout only.

Keep a skipped entry

  1. Select Skip Workout.

Skip saves immediately, without a confirmation. It affects this date only. The workout remains visible as skipped, so you can reopen it later.

Delete the dated workout

  1. Select Delete Workout.
  2. Review the confirmation.
  3. Tap Delete Workout to remove this occurrence from the schedule.

Completed history stays unchanged. The deleted entry no longer appears in Plan's calendar or the personal plan schedule. If you want it back, use Restore Workout while its detail screen is still open.

Restore a removed workout

  1. For a skipped workout, select its date in Plan and open the skipped entry. For a just-deleted workout, stay on its open detail screen.
  2. Open Manage workout.
  3. Select Restore Workout.
  4. Review the confirmation.
  5. Tap Restore Workout to confirm.

Restoration needs the saved source to remain available and the training plan to remain active. You cannot reopen a deleted entry from the calendar or personal plan schedule after leaving its detail screen.

Keep the changed dates in context

Successful changes save on this device. Edits update the affected planned workouts; Skip keeps a skipped entry; Delete removes the dated entry; Restore returns the removed occurrence when its source is available.

These actions do not rewrite completed workout history.

Keep the scope and recovery clear

This and Future Workouts is not every workout in the training plan. It appears only when later matching workouts exist. It changes those scheduled dates, not the repeating pattern or dates that have not yet been generated. Skip, Delete, and Restore affect one occurrence, not the whole series.

If an edit fails, its draft stays open. Review the save message before trying again. If the plan changed, reopen the workout as requested. If the source is no longer available, restoration is not guaranteed; deleting history or creating another workout will not recover that original entry.
