Explore training analyses

Start with the question you want to answer. Explore Progress brings together views of your training mix, sports, strength exercises, training days, heart-rate facts, and recorded routes.

Find the view for your question

Open Progress, then choose an analysis under Explore Progress. Some dashboard cards also open a more focused view.

Bring the relevant records

Momentum history can contribute without Apple Health. Allow Apple Health access if you want imported workouts and their available associated data.

  • Strength Exercises needs completed working sets with logged reps. Loaded metrics also need logged load.
  • Heart Rate needs average heart rate or zone analysis for contributing workouts. Zone charts need zone data.
  • Training Map needs available Apple Health route data as well as a workout record. Use Review Access when the map asks you to review access.

Match the view to its scope

Each analysis has its own controls. A dashboard card's Calculation and Each Bar settings do not add those pickers to its detail screen. Consistency also mixes fixed 12-week views with range-based and full-history summaries; its range picker does not change every panel.

In strength details, e1RM means estimated one-rep max, not a measured maximum. Consistency describes recorded training days, not how often you should train. Heart-rate charts report available facts rather than recommend training zones.

Training Map shows the full displayable recorded route, including Start and Finish. Those points are not privacy-masked. Consider whether they reveal a home or another private place before showing the map to someone.
