What the assistant can do
Each type of access lets the assistant do different things:
| Access | What the assistant can do |
|---|---|
| View training data | Read your plans, schedule, goals, and training history. |
| Manage training plans | Suggest plan changes, apply the ones you choose, and undo them. |
| Record workouts | Add exercises and sets to recorded strength workouts, and link recorded workouts to planned ones. |
Plan changes. The assistant suggests changes first. Nothing changes until you apply them. You can apply some or all of the suggested changes. A suggestion expires after 30 minutes. If your plan changes before you apply, ask for a new suggestion.
Strength details. The assistant can replace the exercises and sets on a recorded strength workout, including reps, weight, rest, and notes. It keeps the workout's time, source, and results. It can't add exercises to runs, rides, or swims.
Linking workouts. The assistant can link a recorded workout to a scheduled workout in your training plan, or unlink it. Unlinking keeps the workout and its exercises.
Control and undo changes
- Undo a plan change. Ask the assistant to undo changes you applied. Undo works only while your plan hasn't changed since you applied them and you haven't recorded a workout against a changed scheduled workout. Undoing a new plan archives it, so undo isn't available after you record a workout from that plan. When undo isn't available, ask the assistant to suggest new changes instead.
- Limit access. Allow only View training data if you want the assistant to read without changing anything.
- Remove access. In your Momentum account, open Connected apps and select Remove. The assistant loses access right away.
When you add Momentum to an assistant yourself, the assistant must run on your computer. To use Momentum in ChatGPT, see Use Momentum in ChatGPT.
