Terms of service
These terms explain the rules for using Momentum, the risks of exercise, and what Coach can and cannot do. Please read them before you train with Momentum.
Agreement and scope
Effective date: October 7, 2026.
Atlas Apps LLC ("we", "us") provides Momentum, including the Momentum apps for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, the account portal at momentum.atlasapps.us, and Coach.
Your license to the Momentum application is subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These Terms of Service separately govern the Momentum services provided by Atlas Apps LLC, including your Momentum account, cloud services, Coach, subscription features, the Momentum website, and related features.
By creating a Momentum account or using Momentum services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Momentum. Our privacy policy and consumer health data privacy policy explain how we handle your data.
Health, fitness, and Coach
Exercise carries risk
Strength training, running, and other exercise can cause injury, illness, or death. Talk to a doctor before you start or change an exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or have a medical condition.
You choose your exercises, weights, and effort. Stop exercising and get medical attention if you have chest pain, fainting, severe dizziness, unusual or severe shortness of breath, or other symptoms that concern you. You accept the risks of the training you choose.
Momentum is not medical advice
Momentum provides fitness information and tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device. Heart rate and other metrics come from your devices and can be inaccurate. Do not use Momentum to make medical decisions.
Coach is an AI system
Momentum Coach is an artificial intelligence system, not a human trainer or medical professional. Coach can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable responses, including in workout check-ins. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Review its recommendations before relying on them and reject or modify proposed training changes that are not appropriate for you.
Coach asks for your approval before it applies a proposed change to your training. Review each proposed change before approving it. You may reject or modify a proposal that does not seem appropriate for you. Approval does not guarantee that a Coach recommendation is suitable for your circumstances.
Your content and acceptable use
Your content
You own the content you add to Momentum, such as workouts, notes, Coach messages, and attachments. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit that content only as needed to provide Momentum to you, as described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or violate anyone's rights while using Momentum;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
- try to access another person's account or data;
- interfere with, overload, or probe Momentum's servers or security, except through good-faith security research reported to security@atlasapps.us;
- use Coach or connected AI assistants to generate harmful content or to get around Momentum's limits;
- use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access Momentum, except through features we provide, such as connected AI assistants;
- use Momentum content or Coach output to train or improve a competing AI model or service; or
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer Momentum except as the law allows.
Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription, such as Pro or Coach. Apple sells and bills subscriptions through your Apple Account. Apple's terms govern payment, renewal, and refunds.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. To cancel, manage your subscription in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting your Momentum account or the app does not cancel your subscription. See Manage your subscription.
Features and limits can change over time. We describe what each subscription includes in the app before you buy.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Momentum at any time. You can delete your account in Settings > Account > Your Data or in the account portal's Privacy section. Account deletion is permanent.
We may suspend or end your access to Momentum, or to a feature such as Coach, if you break these terms, if your use creates risk for others, or if the law requires it. When we can, we will tell you why. We may also stop offering Momentum or a feature. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law, continue to apply after your access ends.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we provide Momentum "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that Momentum will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Atlas Apps LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to Momentum.
Except for liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, Atlas Apps LLC's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Momentum will not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the amounts you paid to Atlas Apps LLC for Momentum during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability or statutory right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Some places do not allow these limits. If you live in one, some limits may not apply to you.
Governing law and disputes
If you reside in the United States: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Momentum must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Macomb County, Michigan or, if federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
If you reside outside the United States: Michigan law governs these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the laws of the country or region where you habitually reside, or of any right to bring proceedings in a court made available to you by applicable law.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Momentum. Momentum is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For minor changes, we post the new terms on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, such as changes to subscriptions, your rights, our liability, or how disputes are resolved, we also give you reasonable notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Where the law requires it, we ask you to agree to the new terms. Otherwise, if you keep using Momentum after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
